So this week I have finally found the time to create a RedBubble store for some of my designs. After doing some research into which of the many sites to sell products from I felt that this was a good choice to start with, as its only my first attempt at selling artwork online. The product choices can be a little overwhelming on other platforms but with RedBubble the choice is limited so I can focus on promoting just a single product though a Facebook page and online. Ive started with promoting bag designs.
From what I’ve learnt so far its better to have your work on several platforms and promote single products from each even though you can buy lots of things on each store it doesn’t appear to be the best way to advertise your designs, so I would recommend choosing one or two products from each store and promoting that separately on Facebook or social media site of your choice.
I’m sure theres plenty more I can do to make my store much better but right now I’m feeling happy to have started this process. Im going to slowly start adding my work to other platforms and see what does best where.
Selling artwork has been on my list of things to do for a while now so if your thinking of doing the same heres a couple of useful blog posts that helped me out when choosing which platform to go with. Plus a list of the top store sites. Good luck.
